Anniversary
So, this is my second one-shot. Hope you guys like it. Sorry for any mistakes that you might find. Thanks for reading ^-^ Foreword It had been a really long day at work and I was not in the best mood which, on a normal day, was not a problem. It usually meant that I would go to bed earlier than the usual. Today, however, was not a day to do such things. Tiffany and I were celebrating our first anniversary and I had planned to do a couple of things.Dragging myself through the parking lot, I got to the car wishing I’d already bought everything I needed.- You’re always the same thing, Tae – I mumbled to myself, throwing my things to the passenger’s seat and getting on my jeep. – Now you’ll have to get through the whole mall to find what you want.Starting the car, I drove off to the nearest mall, praying that it wouldn’t be filled with people. Since I worked on the outskirts of the city, traffic was not a big issue so, in 15 minutes, I arrived at my destination.- So let’s see: I want flowers and what else? – I scratched my head, thinking what was the other thing I’d thought of buying. – Ah, yes, I know. Lingerie.I decided to go for the lingerie first. Wandering on the mall’s corridors, I looked in every shop but none seemed to have what I needed.2 hours later, I left the mall’s parking lot. It had taken me a lot of time to find what I wanted, which meant that Tiffany would already be home by the time I got there.- I guess I’ll have to leave the dinner for some other time – I said to myself, while driving home.I’d thought of preparing a more romantic dinner for that evening but shopping delayed my plans. As I drove through the dark streets that led to our condo, I tried to brighten up my mood, which turned out not to be such a difficult task, since I was almost sure that Tiffany would have a warm smile waiting for me when I got home. Her smile always had the power to brighten everything. However, it did not happen. As I got home, there was no warm smile. In fact, there was nothing except darkness.- Sweetie, I’m home – I said, while I laid my keys on the small table we had near the door. Here keys were already there, which meant she was home. But why was it so silent and dark? – Tiffany?- Tae? – A muffled voice seemed to come from the bedroom. – I’m in here.- Where is “in here”? – I asked, moving towards the bedroom.- The bathroom.Entering the room, I saw a feeble light coming from the bathroom. Since the door was not completely closed, there was a frame of orange light that allowed me to move without having to turn on the lights. The light, however, was a lot dimmer than what I remembered it to be.- Tiffany, is everything okay? – I asked, stopping close enough to the door tp hear what was going on inside but without entering the bathroom.- Yes. You can come in. I need your help here.- Uh, okay – I said, slowly pushing the door aside. The light was indeed a lot dimmer than it usually was, especially because it didn’t come from the lamps on the ceiling. For a moment I just stared in awe, looking at what had happened to the bathroom. In every corner, shelf or other space that could provide a stable support was a set of candles. The tub was filled with water and, floating all over the surface, were flower petals of several colors: red, pink, white. On the tub’s corner, a bucket filled with ice cooled a bottle of Champaign. Next to it, two glasses were waiting to be filled with the sparkling liquid. In the middle of all this I had not noticed Tiffany. If my heart had started pounding a little bit faster when I saw everything she’d done with the bathroom, it stopped when I saw her. On the opposite wall of the bathtub was Tiffany. Her light brown hair glowed at the candle’s light, looking like it was made of gold. She had her pink towel wrapped around her body and, apparently, it was the only thing she had on.- Tiffany, what is this? – I asked, not able to take my eyes off of her body.- This is my present to you – she answered with a smile. – Do you like it?- I don’t even know what to say. This is perfect.A wide smile appeared on her face. Apparently she was afraid that I would not like it.- I’m so glad you like it – she said, giving me a tight hug.- I love it – I said, enveloping her body in my arms and feeling her soft, warm skin. – Thank you so much.- You know, we should get in or the water will get cold before we can enjoy anything. Before I could say anything, she released the knot that kept the towel around her, causing it to fall to her feet. I’d already seen her naked several times but, still, her body never ceased to take my breath away.- Tae, it’s not polite to stare – Tiffany’s voice brought back some of my consciousness.- Uh, sorry – I said, looking away to try to regain a little focus. – You should get in. You’re gonna be cold.- I won’t be cold, don’t worry – she said, grabbing my face and making me face her.- You won’t? – I kept trying to keep my brain working but all I could see were her brownish eyes. It would be a relief if not for the fact that they had the power to make me lose track of my thoughts as well. She nodded negatively, very lightly, before stepping towards me, biting her lower lip. All that teasing was, honestly, driving me crazy. Grabbing her waist, I pulled her closer, close enough for our lips to almost meet. Locking my gaze with hers, I secured a strand of her hair behind her ear and placed my hand on the side of her face. Leaning forward, our lips met. The kiss started soft, gentle but it quickly escalated to something a lot more fiery. In a heartbeat my tie was on the floor and my shirt was completely open.- No top today, Taeyeon? – asked Tiffany in a playful tone, before sliding the sleeves out of my arms and throwing the shirt to one corner of the bathroom.- I didn’t think it was necessary – I answered before capturing her lips again. Her hands kept wandering around my clothes, unbuttoning my pants and unclasping my bra.- We should probably get inside the tub – I said, when she removed my bra and threw it away. At that rate we were not going to get a bath. At least not with that water.- Don’t worry about that.- Sweetie, the water is getting cold – I said, moving a little away from her face in order to look her in the eye.- You’re probably right – she said, pecking my lips but not letting go of my waist. – But, just so you know, you’re a spoilsport.- I know, but I don’t want to waste all this when you had so much work setting everything up.- Hum…true – she said, letting go of my body so I could finish undressing.A few moments later we were both inside the tub. Luckily, Tiffany had poured boiling water, which meant that, by the time we got inside the tub, it still was quite warm. Since I’d gotten in first, my back was pressed against the tub and Tiffany’s back was pressed against my chest.Grabbing the Champaign, I poured it into the glasses and gave her one.- Hey, wait. We need to toast before we start drinking – I said, stopping her from drinking the cold liquid. – You’re in a rush today.- I’m thirsty, I’m sorry – she answered in a cute voice. Then she turned a bit to face me and showed me her puppy eyes. – Do you forgive me?- Yes, I do. Now stop it – I answered in a serious voice, trying to keep my mind unaffected by her aegyo. – To a whole year of me having to see you and hear you every day. Man, it’s tiring.- Hey, that’s not a toast – she said, pinching my leg. – Do a proper one.- Okay, okay. I’ll do a proper one. Please, spare my life Master – I begged, laughing. – To us and the first of many, many amazing years of marriage. May we be able to endure each other’s presence for the rest of our lives.- Jeez, Taeyeon. You had to ruin it.- Oh, come on sweetie, you know me – I said, poking the area below her ribs, making her flinch. – Cheers.Raising my glass in front of her, I waited for her to hit it lightly with hers.- Cheers – she said, touching my glass with hers.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We talked for a long time. Well, at least long enough for the Champaign bottle to end.- You were trying to boil us, when you poured to water or is it just me?- Why do you say that? – she asked, with a giggle.- Look at the time we’ve been here and, still, the water is warm.- Well, I had just finished filling the tub before you came in, so I guess it was really hot when you came into the bathroom.- That explains it. It was very clever of you – I said, nodding, before laying my glass on the floor.Putting hers on the floor as well, Tiffany leaned down towards me, sliding a bit down the tub, and rested her head on my shoulder, her face touching my jaw and left cheek. We stood like that, silent, for a few moments. My left hand caressed hers, which rested on the side of the tub. The other one laid on her thigh, my fingers intertwined with hers.- You know, I could stay like this forever – she said, looking at the ceiling.- Yeah, me too. – I answered, planting a kiss on her forehead. – Well, at least until the water gets cold.
