By a stroke of good fortune (or so he thinks), Seyong is freed from the prison he was awaiting the gallows in and is roped into helping Gunwoo rescue his sister, Chaerin, from a similar fate of burning at the stake.  Happy to be free, he doesnt question his luck until he begins to wonder why the young woman he is carrying is accused of being a witch.
