It’s raining hard, the coldness seeping into their clothes, down their hair, into their eyes and now Minseok and Luhan can’t tell whether it’s rain or tear tracks down each other’s faces.

Thunder rumbles in the distance and thunder rumbles closer in their hearts.

Minseok’s shoulders shake slightly, his breathing harsh.

Luhan’s fists clench and unclench, his brows furrowed.

One more word. That’s all it takes for them to fall apart.

“Please don’t leave.”

Luhan’s eyelashes flutter, blinking away tears and rain, his mouth falling open. Minseok’s so so vulnerable, his voice shaking. His heart is on his sleeve and all Luhan has to do is reach out and take it, protect it, never hurt Minseok again.

“Please don’t leave,” Minseok repeats, choking, eyes wide, water sticking his eyelashes together.

Lightening flashes and Luhan can see so clearly in Minseok’s eyes there’s love, hurt, longing, sadness, apologies ready to spill out onto his cheeks.
