Chapter One: Decide (1/1)

Monday, 5:45pm, Inside the Rehearsal RoomPick-up rehearsals were done for the day. It went by fast as compared to regular rehearsals. Lala and I were the Stage Managers for this production so we reminded the actors that pick-ups were made for recalling of lines and markings onstage. They can act goofy as long as it doesn't distract anyone else who was rehearsing with them like the technical staff and crew. Of course, it also depends on the director; should he allow the goofiness and sillyness onstage, then it's not a problem.After company call, Kuya Miguel, our Theater President, informed all production heads to wait for him and his announcement. He still had to meet with our Artistic Director so our group waited in the rehearsal room for the meantime. "Anong plano niyo for the summer?," Lala asked the group. "Kami ni Nadine magrerenovate ng apartment! One month rin ang target natin diba Nadz?"I nodded. "Oo! Kung hindi natin matapos yun, baka wala na tayong matirahan!""San ba kayo lumipat?" Paolo asked. Paolo is the Technical Director for the prod."Hindi naman ganun kalayo. From the condo, lumipat kami sa apartment sa Abada Street." I replied. "It's not a new unit so we have to renovate. Medyo creepy kasi yung white walls. Teka Paolo, will you finally go to Chicago to visit your mom? May two months rin tayo for summer break!" "Hindi ko pa alam Nadz, kasi hindi pa sure kung maeextend ang prod natin." Paolo replied. "Kung mag-extend tayo, hindi ako matutuloy!"Lala looked at Paolo. "Mag-eextend tayo? Yun ba ang gustong sabihin ni Kuya Miguel? Kaya ba sila nagmemeeting ngayon?" "Mukhang. Ang ganda kasi ng reviews ng show pero marami ang hindi nakanuod. So baka iparequire ito ng ibang departments ng colleges at ipanuod sa students nila this summer." Paolo explained. "I think they're just deciding the final playdates.""Problema 'to ah." I said while looking at Lala. "How can we do the prod and renovate our apartment at the same time?"Lala and I looked at each other with a big question mark on our faces."Hey guuuuuuys!" Kuya Miguel finally entered the room with a big smile on his face. "Guess whaaaaaaaat!"
