False hopes (1/1)

A soft knock could be heard and Dara went to open the door as the boys curiously turned around to see who it was as well."Is anything wrong?" Dara asked alarmed, as she saw the three other girls standing in front of her discussing, who would be the one speaking, as they didn't want to talk in front of the boys, "did anything happen?""No, everything's alright," CL assured her, as she sent Seungri a glare, "we just came to tell you that we're ready to have dinner now. We're just waiting for you and the boys.""You could just have said so!" Dara smiled brightly, when she realized she haven't introduced even introduced neither herself nor the girls to the boys, "but how about we introduce ourselves first? I totally forgot!"Everyone glanced awkwardly at each other, as they didn't really feel like going through it again, and both Bom and Minzy were quick to escape, "we introduced ourselves earlier, so we'll go look after the kids, while you guys get over the formalities."Dara nodded with a small shrug. She didn't really care about formalities; she just wanted everyone to feel welcome, as she saw this home as her family. All the small kids were her own and the girls were her sisters - and she needed the boys to feel part of that family as well."CL, please introduce yourself," The brunette smiled as she nudged the younger girls arm. She knew that the blonde girl had a tendency to be rude around strangers, and Dara had already sensed the awkward atmosphere around CL and Seungri.Seungri smirked knowingly as CL sent him another glare, "I'm CL, and I'm in charge of the accounting for this home."Silence filled the room as they all waited for more to come, but CL was done; she had nothing to add. Youngbae cleared his throat, as he tried with a small smile, "It's nice to meet you.""Sure," CL turned around on her heels, as she left the five boys behind. She didn't care about them at all; it was their music she loved, so she wasn't one to get involved with celebrities -especially that brat to Seungri."I'm so sorry about CL-roo," Dara apologized, as a small smile played on her lips, "she's... quite of a loner, but it's only until you get to know her!""Who wants to get to know that scary woman," Seungri muttered under his breath, as he stared at the door, where CL had just left them all behind, earning himself a death glare from the four other boys."It's okay," Jiyong finally spoke up taking a step forward, "we're all pretty hungry, as it's been a really long day. Is it possible for us to go join dinner now?"The brunette agreed immediately forgetting all about manners and introductions wanting to get away from the awkward atmosphere right away. She showed them all the way and as expected, they were greeted by chaos. The children were all chatting heartily with each other, food was being thrown around and it kind of just reminded her of a pigsty. "DARA UNNIE!" Ji-Na, a small cute girl, who had been living at the home for a very long time, came running up to Dara to smile brightly at her, "Is it true that we're going to have an ice cream party tonight? Dong-Min isn't lying?""WHY WOULD I BE LYING?" Dong-Min half screamed from the other side of the room, where the girl had come from, "I NEVER LIE!""THEN WHAT ABOUT THE TIME YOU TOLD SO-RA THAT THERE WAS GOLD HIDDEN IN THE GARDEN?" Another kid chimed in starting a chain reaction with tons of children half yelling, half screaming at each other about the lies, they had told each other or whether or not there was going to be an ice cream party.Dara chose to ignore it all, as she sat down in front of Ji-Na rubbing her arms up and down, as she spoke softly to her, "Do you want an ice cream party?"Ji-Na nodded furiously."Then why don't we have one?" Dara chimed brightly making the small girl scream in delight. It was wonderful to make the small kids be this happy."DARA!" CL screamed on top of her lungs, as she sat at the table beside them, "WE DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY RIGHT NOW!""Then you shouldn't promise the kids an ice cream party to start with," The older reprimanded as she sat down next to the Bom at the same table as CL and Minzy, "and we don't lie here, remember?""What's the big ruckus anyways?" Daesung asked, as he sat down on the chair beside Minzy followed by the other members, who also joined the big round table, "do you all just love ice cream or what?""Who doesn't love ice cream?" Minzy chimed to Daesung, before she added, "but it's not the ice cream we're all happy about - it's the stories that comes with it!""Stories?" Seunghyun asked bored as he started eating slowly questioning whether or not this kind of food would ruin his diet."Yes! Dara's stories," Bom happily clapped her hands together, "She always tells some kind of romantic story, while we enjoy the ice cream! Dara's the best at telling stories!""No, I'm not," Dara blushed as the girls bragged on her behalf making her feel quite embarrassed."Romantic stories are quite stupid though," Jiyong finally snickered after having listened to their conversation for awhile, "it's only things that happens in fairytales. Why make the kids have false hopes for their futures?"Dara gaped at him before almost screaming at him, "HOW CAN YOU CALL IT FALSE HOPES FOR THE FUTURE?""But it is. Let's say that you really do meet your 'soul mate' the chance of the two of you staying together forever is very slim, you know," The leader shrugged as the members kept quiet - it was rare that they heard their leader talk this much; especially about a subject like love."Love is a beautiful thing whether or not you like it," Dara said through gritted things. Jiyong was insulting the two things she liked the most in the entire world; love and the kids. There was silence around them, if you didn't count the children's chatter. The member's were surprised that their leader would even have this kind of discussion with a girl, and the girls were just as surprised that the usual kind Dara would scream at a person, she just met."Love is nothing but lies," Jiyong snickered more to himself than Dara, but she heard it. She heard it clearly."I don't care what you think," she slammed her hands onto the table, as she stood up, before leaving them all behind fuming with anger. She didn't know why, but it annoyed her like hell, that he didn't believe in love.Suddenly a thought came to her mind. If he didn't believe in love, then what would happen, if she made him believe? Of course she wouldn't date a jerk like him herself; he wasn't the prince on the white horse, she had been dreaming about, but if she tried - really tried - maybe she would be able to convince Jiyong that love really is a beautiful thing.A grin appeared on top of her lips, as she made the way towards her room, so she could prepare the story she would tell to the children and Jiyong later that evening, cause what would be a better way to start than by telling the story of a true romance?
