Shattered (1/1)
Bang woke up in the middle of the night; he couldn't stay asleep. It was now 4:04am and the third time he'd woken up. If he was at home he would have raised the fridge by bow, but this was Zelo's home. The leader felt his heartbeat rise; indeed, he was in Zelo's house. Bang got up from the sofa and silently walked out of the living room. He really wanted to go up stairs, see Zelo's sleeping face again. He shook his head an erased the thought immediately. Instead he made his way to the kitchen, sitting down at the table and heaving a heavy sigh. The kitchen was quite cold compared to the living room, and since Bang was shirtless and only in his pyjama trousers, the cold bit at his bare skin. He sighed again and got to his feet, he remembered that Jiyong said that there was only one bathroom and it was situated upstairs. Bang rolled his eyes in annoyance and got back to his feet. He silently made his way out of the kitchen and up the stairs. Jiyong had kindly stuck a piece of paper to one of the doors saying: bathroom. Bang smiled to himself before walking in and shutting the door after him. He looked at himself in the mirror and sighed at his reflection. His eyes were dark and he looked pale. Bang swore this hadn't been the first time he's looked do exhausted, but it all seemed to be getting worse. A small knock on the door made him jump out of his skin. His heart fluttered when he heard a soft voice call through, "is someone in there, I'd like to fill my glass with water." Zelo's sleepy voice travelled to Bang's ears and he lost all words in his mouth. "I guess umma left the light on again." Zelo opened the door and squinted as he let his eyes slowly adjust to the light. "Junhong..." Bang whispered the teen's name and Zelo's eyes instantly shot open. He stared straight at Bang and his cheeks flushed. "I'm sorry!" Zelo bowed in apology, "I didn't know you were in here, it's just there's no lock and the light was on, and in sorry that I intr-" "Junhong, please don't talk." Bang's voice was barely above a whisper. Zelo kept his mouth shut and he looked at the elder with big eyes; why wasn't he supposed to talk? Bang could see that the teen wanted an explanation. He sighed and directed his gaze away. Zelo poured a little, why was the atmosphere a lot more... different than the usual. Something suddenly snapped inside the teen's head, he didn't care of Bang didn't want him to speak, he had to ask. "What did you mean by 'we're drifting apart'?" Zelo kept his voice soft and he saw the elder flinch slightly. The teen continued, he wanted to know as much as possible about what Bang was thinking. "Would you even say that we were 'close' before? I don't really understand what you're thinking..." "I guess you're right." Bang voiced lowly and quiet. "We never were close, and never will be." "W-what..?" Zelo stuttered slightly; the elder sounded so hurt, it made the teen's heart tighten painfully. "I know that you hate me. You told me so yourself, the day you left this." Bang pointed to the still fresh looking scar below his right collarbone. Zelo's eyes filled with regret as the memory played back in his head. He hadn't even registered that Bang was stood shirtless in front of him, but now a light pink was painting his cheeks. "I... I don't... hate you..." Zelo whispered, turning his head away from the elder. "I know that I should... Y-you're the reason... Appa isn't here..." "Then why don't you hate me?" Bang asked, his voice sounding more like it usually did again. Zelo blushed again but looked back to the leader anyway. "I... d-don't know..." He felt himself become confused; he didn't know how to organise the feelings that he had. Some of the feeling towards Bang were obvious such as anger, sadness, desire... but others were lost within. Bang just smiled and grabbed the teen's arm, pulling his into a gentle hug. Zelo blushed as the elder wrapped his strong arms around his body. The younger couldn't find it in himself to hug Bang back, he was just paralysed. "I missed you, Junhong." Zelo blushed a deep red as he heard the leader whispered gruffly into his ear. Bang squeezed his eyes shut and brought the teen closer. Zelo unconsciously let his head fall on the elder's shoulder before he took in a deep breath. If he voice what he wanted to right now, he would have told Bang that truthfully he missed him as well. But, Zelo was at a loss for words and just let the elder hug him close. After long minutes, Bang finally let go and backed away from the teen. His heart was hammering harshly against his chest and his cheeks were a dark pink. Zelo stared at him with large doe eyes, wanting nothing more than to hug him close again. "Goodnight, Junhong." Bang smiled and turned around left the teen alone in the bathroom. Zelo realised that he had dropped his glass on the floor, but thankfully it wasn't broken. He heard footsteps travel down the stairs, and a door quietly close as Bang returned to the living room. "Goodnight... Yongguk." - The next morning, Zelo woke up to the sound of talking down stairs. He glanced to his clock and saw that it was ten in the morning. Quickly throwing him covers off of his body, he threw on some new clothes and brushed through his hair. Zelo made his way to the landing and paused when he heard his mother's voice. "Are you sure you don't want breakfast before you go?" Jiyong asked in a saddened tone. "No thank you." Bang answered in a polite and respectful tone. "We really need to pick Youngjae up from the airport." He lied, and it was so easy executed that Zelo felt a little frightened. "Shouldn't I wake Junhong?" Jiyong sounded slightly annoyed, "in sure he'd like to see Youngjae at the airport too." "That won't be necessary." Bang chuckled slightly, "Junhong doesn't have to come with us." "I want to!" Zelo sprinted down the stairs so fast he fell into Jongup, making him stumble into Himchan. Jiyong gave a disapproving shake of her head towards the youngest in the house. "You will be staying here a few more nights, won't you?" She asked in a concerned voice as she noticed that they all had their rucksacks. "We wouldn't want to intrude." Himchan stated before he smiled dazzlingly. "We'll find a hotel, or somewhere." "No!" Zelo jumped in, "please stay, we don't mind. You're not intruding on anything, I want you guys to stay." "We need to go get Youngjae." Daehyun whispered to Bang and the leader nodded in agreement. Jiyong heard them and spoke up again. "Just leave all o your things here, I'd love for you all to stay longer. I haven't met Youngjae yet." She smiled brightly and took Jongup's rucksack off him. The teen fist protest or even say anything. Bang sighed and gave in, flinging his rucksack back onto the sofa. All the other members followed pursuit and left their luggage in the living room. Jiyong seemed happy that they were all going to stay. She grabbed onto Zelo and pulled him towards her before whispering in his ear, "no need to thank me, I like them as much as you do." Zelo blushed and pushed his mother away. She really was embarrassing when she wanted to be. "I'll clean up the spare rooms. We have two you see, then you can stay in pairs." She smiled. "But, there's five of us." Jongup pointed out and Jiyong just chuckled at him. "One of you can sleep in Junhong's room." She gestured to her son and before he could even think to protest she spoke again. "Don't be late picking Youngjae up, don't want him waiting." "Exactly!" Daehyun opened the front door and stormed out. Bang sighed and thanked Jiyong again before following the younger, everyone else thanking her as well. Including Zelo, who hugged her tight and kissed her cheek. "Why weren't we in the spare rooms before?" Jongup asked casually as he walked next to Zelo. The younger chuckled and shook his head slightly. "I only thought there was one, but the one I did know about is just filled with boxes, from the move, still." Jongup chuckled at that, he could just see a room full of cardboard boxes. Daehyun was walking with Himchan, as the elder tried to calm him down. Daehyun was beyond worried, he was nervous, frightened and hurt. How could someone do that to Youngjae? Youngjae was a sweet and kind soul who liked to help everyone. Daehyun bit the inside of his cheek to stop him ranting to Bang about why they haven't got there yet. The leader was waiting for the call from Maslo informing him about the meet up. He was getting beyond impatient and he decided to call Naslo himself, just so that he could get this exchange done quicker. The phone rang for a long time until he heard a small, "hello?" It was indeed Malso's voice. "The fuck, Jungmin?!" Bang practically shouted into the phone, and sown passing Americans gave
