CHAPTER FOUR Why are you crying, little boy? Are you mourning the death of this man; the man you, yourself killed? Why would you mourn such an unimportant loss? Do not cry because of his death, little boy. You have such a pure heart, little boy, that it pleased me, seeing you kill that man with such monstrosity in that tiny body? What was that? You didn’t kill him, you say? Don’t lie to yourself, little saint, don’t lie to yourself. LEE HONGBIN scoffed as he stared at the boy in front of him. He knew he couldn’t be seen but because his eyes were used to the darkness, he could clearly see the boy, a couple years older, shaking in front of him. Hongbin had heard about the two boys’ arriving a few days prior from Hakyeon who wouldn’t stop talking about how excited he was. Hongbin, on the other hand, didn’t give a single care.“W-who are you? What are you doing in my room?” Hongbin’s thoughts were disrupted when he heard the boy speak. He smirks as he sees the nervous look on the boy’s face. “What do you mean by both of us getting hurt?” the boy asked again.Hongbin shook his head and was about to turn around and walk away when something flashed and caught his attention. To the side of the room, on the shelves, was a picture frame. In it was a picture of the boy and most probably, his parents. They were all smiling in front of the camera, his parents’ hands on his shoulders.“That’s a nice picture you have there,” Hongbin said, his voice oozing with sarcasm that even Jaehwan couldn’t resist flinching. Hongbin senses this and finally lets out a small smile. “Although, I wonder how long you’ll be able to, no, not able, want to keep that picture of yours,” Hongbin said, almost challenging.Hongbin opens the door and pokes his head out. When he feels that no one was near, he goes out, but not without casting a second glance to the boy, who finally sees his face. The moment they locked eyes, Hongbin gave a small smirk and quickly ran away.When Hongbin finally reached his target room, he was slightly tired and sweating, but he didn’t mind it. While taking out a pin from his pocket, Hongbin could cast nervous glances around him, making sure that no one was around. Finally unlocking the door, he opens it and sees him with his hands tied to the wall and his head down due to the exhaustion. Although almost unnoticeable, Hongbin could clearly see the fresh wounds decorating the boy’s body.“H-Hongbin,” the tied boy whispers although his head was still down. Hongbin hurriedly runs towards the boy and looks at his cuffs, searching for the hole. When he sees it, he quickly picks the lock and releases the boy. “What’re you doing here, H-Hongbin? I t-told you to lay l-low,” the boy said, although his voice was barely a whisper.Hongbin wraps his jacket around the shivering boy and helps him stand up. The other boy allows him to walk him towards the door, having no more strength left to argue. Hongbin’s grip on the boy’s shoulder tightens as he pokes out his head and looks at both sides. Finally sensing that the area is safe, he leads the boy out of the room, not forgetting to lock it again, and walks the boy back to his room.After helping the boy sit on his bed, Hongbin locks the door to his room and walks towards his shelf. He takes out his first aid kit and a wet towel before walking back to the boy sitting on his bed. He eyes the boy before starting to clean his wounds.The boy flinches. “O-ouch,” he whispers although he doesn’t move to stop Hongbin from cleaning his wounds. Hongbin continues to silently clean the boy. When he finishes, he stands up to place the towel in the bathroom and walks back to the boy. He opens his first aid kit and looks for some alcohol. He starts applying medicine on the boy’s wounds.“You should be more careful. Who knows what could happen next time,”      Author's Note: Here's the fourth chapter, as promised (?). Actually, this was supposed to be updated earlier, unfortunately, my browser crashed, and yeah. If you've seen the forewords, you'll see that the tops! have changed. Leo and Kong now tops. The reason for that will be revealed in the next chapters. Questions: Who do you think was the wounded boy? What do you think did Kong mean by what he said to Ken (the picture)?
